Aquamarine

Aquamarine takes its name from the Latin ‘aqua mare’ — the color of the sea. A member of the Beryl family, its blue hue is caused by iron.
Prized in fine jewelry since antiquity, aquamarine is surrounded by legend: said to invoke love, happiness, and eternal youth, it was long considered a lucky talisman for sailors.
