Grandidierite

Discover a rare gemstone admired for its beautiful blue-green color. Named in honor of the French explorer Alfred Grandidier, grandidierite belongs to the nesosilicate group and is considered one of the rarest gemstones in the world.

With a hardness of 7.5 on the Mohs scale, it can be set into jewelry, although high-quality material remains extremely scarce. Often translucent and rarely faceted, transparent gem-quality grandidierite is exceptionally rare and highly valuable, with prices that can exceed €10,000 per carat.

Each stone is prized for its exclusivity, rarity, and distinctive coloration, making it a true collector’s gemstone.
