Sapphirine
Discovered in 1819 in Greenland, sapphirine is a rare mineral species composed of magnesium and aluminium silicate.
It is very rarely faceted due to its scarcity and its typical crystal habits, making it primarily a collector’s gemstone. However, gem-quality material can occasionally be set into unique jewelry pieces.
With a hardness of 7.5 on the Mohs scale, sapphirine offers good durability for occasional wear when properly set and protected.
Highly valued by collectors and mineral enthusiasts, it is prized for its rarity, distinctive appearance, and limited availability in gem quality.
Each stone is selected for its authenticity and natural quality.
Origins: Madagascar, Sri Lanka.
